Mama (Paata), we are sad that we will never see you again here on earth, but we will surely miss your infectious smile, wisdom, encouragement, and inspiration. This is what those who were fortunate enough to know you will remember you by. You did not differentiate anyone based on their age or wealth. Your love and affection were balanced across all four generations including towards our three-year-old son, Reyan. Even a few weeks before your passing, you were in pain but kept insisting that we go and pick pears in your beautiful garden with our son. This is one of your classic qualities of putting others before you. We had a good few hours of laughter together and we did not think that it would be our last conversation here on earth. We wish we stayed longer because we are truly going to miss all the stories you had to share. There is some comfort in knowing that you are now pain-free and with the rest of your loved ones. We have always admired your marriage and the life you and Mami lived together for 51 years! You both have set the bar so high and we look to make you proud. Thank you for everything you did for us and always being there when we needed you. We hope to continue to receive your blessings. May your soul rest in peace.
