We lost our dearest Ananthan who was loving all human being with affection. He lived to see a healthy Tamil community in Sri Lanka and in the diaspora. He is a charismatic person who wanted to build a community through education. He loved his friends like relatives. He meets my family at his every visit in Canada. We visited him a few times in London. We enjoyed his oppari folklore with 5 bus-loads of students in 1982 in Sivanolipaathamalai (Adam's peak). That was the last all Ceylon trip by the University of Jaffna and we cannot forget the incident of our students and buses were under threat. This threat made us different in the prayer place of all nation. Ananthan shed blood including many students and that was the last trip for Tamil students for a long time. HIs friends love him dearly. I feel so sad for not able to attend as I hade a recent health episode. I send my condolences to his sisters and brothers, He loved his nieces and nephews dearly that I am aware of. Ananthan! You call me miss and I miss you so much. Peace ! Peace! Peace!
Thank you for being such a great soul. The last conversation I had with you was so heartwarming. You will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.
