I am so sadden by the news of Mr. Ananthan's passing. My heartfelt condolences and sympathies to his many friends and families. I have known Ananthan from our university days in Jaffna. Although our relationship started in a lecturer-student capacity at the University of Jaffna we developed mutual respect and friendship. Events in Sri Lanka separated us by time and places Ananthan re-established our friendship after many years. I am very thankful that he took the effort and time to spend a day in Ottawa with me and my family in 2023. He lived a dignified life that reflected his values and beliefs. I surely will miss Ananthan. May your soul rest in peace, my friend.
