So sad to hear this. My memories of him go back to the Vijayalakshmi book depot days in Wellawatte where I used to meet and chat with him. He was a close cousin to my father and was present at my parent’s wedding. He was the one who helped Balu Mahendra to reach his stardom in South Indian cinema. My wife & I met him last in 2017 August when we visited Chennai. I also called and spoke to him in March of 2019 inviting him for my son’s wedding. May his simple humble soul Rest In Peace. Our love and thoughts are with all his loved ones especially Kunthavi, Kumaran & Maan and their families. The most senior member of the Thambiah family has gone to be with his creator!! 😔
