
Dear Nalayini and family, Rajan as I knew him, a friend since our medical school days. He was two years my senior but lived in the same neighbourhood in Kollupitiya and we often travelled together in the same bus 140 to Medical school every morning. Evenings were full of chatters about many matters including our Tamil politics! Subsequently we happened to work together in Jaffna hospital during those torrid years of the early 70’s and shared many thoughts! I remember vividly the last day of the Tamil Arachchi maha Nadu in 1974 when we both in attendance at the mutthaveli meeting. How we both scaled many parapet walls to escape when the police started shooting in to the crowd! Such long held memories. I will miss him and the many sweet memories we shared! May he rest in peace.
