It was 36 years ago in 1983, my whole world the way I'd known it, changed all of a sudden. I, the eldest son in our family who had just lost our father, was struggling to cope with my emotions. I didn't then know what was expected of me, in a new world. I vividly remember திருமதி நாகேஸ்வரி நடராஜா, 'சின்னன் மாமி' as we affectionately called her, sitting on the edge of my bed, drawing me closer to her with an affectionate embrace and saying a few words to me, in a way only சின்னன் மாமி could. During my subsequent life journey, I've connected with many good souls in this world, but I've always been grateful to what சின்னன் மாமி said and did, in those few moments. That exhibition of affection; care; and understanding, has been enough for me to still continue my journey. சின்னன் மாமி has left her body, after touching all the people she connected, with humanity and ever lasting impact.
