யாழ். உரும்பிராயைப் பிறப்பிடமாகவும், பிரித்தானியா லண்டன் Perivale ஐ வதிவிடமாகவும் கொண்ட குணவதிஅம்மாள் ரங்கநாதன் அவர்கள் 14-07-2021 புதன்கிழமை அன்று லண்டனில் இறைவனடி சேர்ந்தார்.

அன்னார், காலஞ்சென்றவர்களான உரும்பிராய் புகையிலை, சுருட்டு தொழில் உரிமையாளர் தம்பிஐயா சின்னதங்கச்சி தம்பதிகளின் அன்பு மகளும், காலஞ்சென்றவர்களான கந்தையா சரஸ்வதியம்மா தம்பதிகளின் அன்பு மருமகளும்,

காலஞ்சென்ற கந்தையா ரங்கநாதன்(முன்னாள் உயர் வாசகுன்று முருகன் ஆலய அறங்காவலர், தலைவர்) அவர்களின் ஆருயிர் அன்பு மனைவியும்,

சுகன்யா அவர்களின் பாசமுள்ள அன்பு அம்மாவும்,

Dr. நவீனன் அவர்களின் பிரியமுள்ள மாமியாரும்,

Dr. துளசி அவர்களின் ஆசைப் பேத்தியும்,

காலஞ்சென்ற Dr செல்வரத்தினம், மங்கயர்க்கரசி, காலஞ்சென்றவர்களான தவமணிஅம்மாள், நாகரத்தினம்(இந்திரா), நவரத்தினம்(துரை) மற்றும் கனகரத்தினம், காலஞ்சென்ற தனலக்ஷ்மிஅம்மாள், ஜீவரத்தினம், ஜெயரத்தினம் ஆகியோரின் பாசமுள்ள அன்புச் சகோதரியும்,

காலஞ்சென்றவர்களான பொன்னுத்துரை, ஐயாத்துரை, Dr. ராஜரத்தினம், செல்லக்கண்டு, லீலாவதி மற்றும் இரத்தினபூபதி, லிங்கேஸ்வரி, கிரிஜா, பரமநாதன், காலஞ்சென்ற பத்மாவதி, புஷ்பவதி, பத்மநாதன், காலஞ்சென்ற சண்முகநாதன் ஆகியோரின் அன்பு மைத்துனியும் ஆவார்.

இவ் அறிவித்தலை உற்றார், உறவினர், நண்பர்கள் அனைவரும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்கின்றோம்.

Covid- 19 காரணமாக உற்றார், உறவினர், நண்பர்கள் இவ் இறுதி வணக்க மரியாதை நிகழ்வில் முகக்கவசங்கள் மற்றும் சமூக இடைவெளி போன்றவற்றை கடைபிடிக்குமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்கின்றோம். 

GunavathyAmmal Ranganathan was born in Urumparai and lived in London, Perivale Ealing and sadly passed away on 14-07-2021 in London.

She came to United Kingdom in 1962 to join her beloved husband, late Kanthiah Ranganathan and both established themselves in London.

She was well known to the entire Tamil community throughout UK and was fondly referred to as ‘Kunam Acca’. As part of the first generation of Tamils who arrived in London, she played an immense role in welcoming and settling family and fellow members of the community. She was part of the first generation, who had great courage, strength and tenacity and paved the way for the rest of us. They faced enormous challenges and we owe them a lot. She made friends with people from all backgrounds and communities and would help and reach out to all. She was truly altruistic in all that she did.

She was kind hearted, warm, compassionate, generous and humble, who welcomed everyone to her house and made sure they did not leave before she fed them. She was well respected by South Indian famous film artists, who she welcomed to her home. She welcomed, MGR, Gemini Ganesan, Sri Priya, Pithukuli Murugadas, Kirupanandha Variyar who stayed with Mr and Mrs Ranganathan during each and every visit in the UK.

Along with her late husband, she played an immense role in helping to establish Hindu temples in London from the late 1970s. She was active member and devotee at Highgate Murugan temple and took part in all of the major religious festivals.

She is the fourth daughter of deceased couple Thambiayh and Chinnathangachchi (Urumpirai and the beloved daughter in law of deceased couple of Kanthiah and Saraswathy ammah).

She is the beloved wife of late Kanthiah Ranganathan, mother of Suganya, mother in law of Dr Naveenan and granddaughter of Dr Thulasi Naveenan.

She is the sister of late Dr Selvaratnam, Mangaiyakarasi, late Thavamaniammal, late Nagaratnam (Indira), late Navaratnam (Thurai), Kanagaratnam, late ThanalakshmiAmmal, Jeevaratnam, Jeyaratnam.

She is the sister in law of late Leelavathy, late Sellakandu, Rathinapoopathy, Pushpavathy, Lingeswary and Kirija, Paramanathan, late Padmavathy, Pathmanathan, late Shanmuganathan.

We are informing all our relatives and friends with great sadness of our immense loss. We love and miss her immensely. She was an enormous presence in our lives and the lives of many.
