Dear Grandpa, I would like to firstly also thank everyone for being here to support me and my family at my thatha’s funeral, and especially everyone that has offered a helping hand to make such an important event for us to run smoothly the past three days. I am so fortunate to have spent 15 years with my thatha. Not all children are blessed enough to grow up with their grandparents, so for giving me the chance to, I am very thankful to god. I would like to say a few words to honour him, and his place in my life. Grandpa, I will miss everything about you. Even if you are no longer here with me, for the rest of my life I promise to keep the memories I shared with you in my heart forever. I will miss your laughs, I will miss hugging you, and most of all I will miss you in my house. It is hard to think about having to go on knowing you aren’t here with me, just a few rooms away or out on the front porch. Everything my grandpa has taught me and done for me will stay with me, and he will always have a special place in my heart. He helped teach me how to walk, and how to talk. We loved him and we will never forget about him. Rest in peace thatha. You may be gone, but your spirit and memory will never leave us.
