Obituary of Mrs. Thirumagal Krishnamoorthy Mrs. Thirumagal Krishnamoorthy was born in Malaysia to Arulaiya and Saraswathy on January 5th, 1940. She is the eldest daughter of the family. She grew up in Malaysia until the age of 12. When she was 12 years old, her father decided to move to their hometown in Karainagar. Her father was a well-known Engineer and a Malaysian pensioner too. Thirumagal studied at Karainagar Hindu College for a few years and continued her education at Jaffna Hindu Ladies College. She was a leading student at school and a good athlete too. Whilst at College, she participated in most of the inter-college activities and was well liked by the College staff. While she was at the College Hostel, I was a student at St. Patrick’s College and was boarded at the College Hostel too. At times when we came home for term holidays on few occasions we would meet together. During the year of 1960, she was 20 years old and a beautiful girl. We liked each other and our parents, relatives and community bounded us together in the union of marriage on September 10th, 1960. I worked as a PHI in Kandy, Colombo, Mannar, Batticoloa and finally in Jaffna. Throughout our marriage life, we were living together with our three children. We built a house at Nallur near Murugan Temple in 1973 for 22 years and moved to Toronto on 07-07-1995. We lived with our son, Jayanthan, to date. We both are Sai Devotees and attended many Bhajan Centres specially Markham and Sai Illam. It’s very hard for me to digest her departure from me. I believe and pray for her soul to rest in peace at the Solace of Swami’s feet until I too join her. With love Krishnamoorthy Ratnasingham
