In Memory of Late Mr. Swaminathan Palendra I had the privilege of working under the leadership of in the Road Development Authority in Jaffna, Sri Lanka for a couple of years. His stewardship was admired by all the staff. He was a friend to all and a foe to none. His honesty, integrity and finding quick solutions to problems at work were praised by all. He was a tall courageous figure but with pious posture. I will miss him a lot. I too had the privilege of meeting him in Australia at the Sydney Murugan Temple. He was in the committee and was doing selfless service to Lord Murugan after his retirement from public service. I was so pleased to see him very active and being a religious devotee. We were invited to his home and his family was so pleased to greet us. We shared our old memories back in Sri Lanka. A few months ago, he came in my mind and I tried to have contact with him but could not do so as they have moved house. He has found the divine light. May Lord Thirumurugan bless his soul to attain eternal peace!
