It is with total sadness, I received the news of the loss of a contemporary of mine during my education at Jaffna College Vaddukoddai from 1956 to last time I met him was in 2012 in Canada, during the Jaffna College Canadian Alumni functions. He joined us with his wife, on the coach trip to the Temple in Rochester. Prior to that, during the student days , he visited my parental home at Kalmunai. He was also a good friend of my late elder brother- , also his contemporary at Jaffna College. Piraisoody was a very pleasant, honourable , calm and collected person. My heartfelt condolences to his wife Kanthi, his children-Gajan, Kalapan and Sutha. May his soul rest in peace.
