During our friendship of more than sixty-five years, we shared many ups and downs in life, had enjoyed many happy moments, family events, worked together in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and continued our friendship here in Canada. It was an exemplary, remarkable and life-long friendship. He always had a sweet smile on his face. I remember an incident a few years ago when he accidentally tripped and fell forward. As I was near him I quickly helped him get back up. I could see the pain on his face, but his first question to me was '‘are you alright’'? That brought laughter all around… No surprise there! He was such a caring person.
