He was a Professor at Devry Institute and at Oterbein University. He obtained life master certificate for game of Bridge

Gopal, a friend for last 60 years from our undergraduate days in Colombo once as my room mate to our days in the Survey dept of Sri Lanka and upto his last days. A kind and loving human being, who had a heart of gold, always cared for others, had gentle infectious smile. Gopal you were always truly humble, true to yourself, through all your life’s success. You were a true inspiration to us all, who braved through the illness with a smile. Friends will miss you so much. You have enriched many lives with your wisdom. For those who loved and cared for him, be assured, Gopal is in a better place now.
