We are all saddened by the loss of our loving Athan. We lost our father at a young age and our brothers left Eelam. Since Athan married my acca, he was my mum's right hand. He was always calm and made the right decisions. Athan never failed to look after his family and parents. Athan worked as an Assistant Government Agent in various provinces. He also started to experience Sinhala aggression in his early years which made him realise "Thamil Eelam" is the only solution. Athan supported and resolved many peoples immigration issues and was a member of many Thamil organisations. He was also an avid activist. It is very sad that even after we lost 146,000 Thamils, our problems are still not resolved. Furthermore our future in our homeland is in question. Thank you Athan for your dedicated work to the Thamil community. I remember you worked through the weekends and some times through the night. We are still fighting for our rights in our homeland.
