Whenever I call Aris, if Suntharanathan happens to answer the call I am sure to end up with a pep talk on lifestyle matters. Last time I reminisce it was on cooking, elaborating how to buy the right kind of garlic – not the white but the pink variety, and its benefits. After retirement his interests seem to have diversified into cooking, gardening, DIY and he has virtually become a gadget man buying the latest. He will be deeply missed by me as a friend and medical colleague and by my husband as an old boy of JHC. May his atman attain shanti.
