பிராத்திக்கின்றோம்
Paramesh Aunty (Periammah), a truly remarkable soul, has been called to eternal rest just as we were concluding our long-awaited family trip to Sri Lanka, a journey that included her beloved only son, Nandakumar (Thamba). I have known Paramesh Periammah for more than four decades, and she has been an important part of our lives throughout those years. She was witty, charismatic, intelligent, an excellent tennis player, a Scrabble genius, and someone who fearlessly spoke her mind with honesty and conviction. Paramesh Periammah became an integral part of our extended family and was dearly loved by my wife, Arunthi, our children, Natasha and Aaron, and our son-in-law, Yagul. We were truly blessed to have such a sincere and unwavering supporter of our family. My heart especially goes out to her son, Nandakumar (Thamba), who himself has become such an important member of our family. In recent years, he joined us on many of our travels, including our most recent trip to Sri Lanka. It saddens me to think that he must have had so many stories and cherished memories from this journey that he would have eagerly shared with his mother, along with photographs taken in front of his ancestral home on Wyman Road in Jaffna and his childhood home in Colombo. Such was the deep love and devotion between mother and son that it almost seems as though she chose to depart peacefully before his return, leaving him with treasured memories of their lifelong bond. Widowed at a young age, she raised three children on her own with strength, determination, and grace. She became a role model for many, a tireless advocate for fairness and justice, and a compassionate champion for the rights and well-being of others. May the cherished memories she leaves behind bring comfort and strength to us all during this difficult time. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Om Shanthi! Shanthi!! Shanthi!!! Thiagalingam, Arunthi, and Family
