Mr.Vivekananthan was an admirer of Proctor Nadarajah, a cousin of his father. Proctor Nadarajah through his field was so popular and was the First Chairman of the Urban Council of Anuradhpura.Mr.Vivekananthan wanted to study Law and excel in law like his uncle.But he had to sacrifice this ambition. Though Mr.Mathiaparanam was doing very well helping his friend Mr.Ratnasingham by both of them as Partners managing the Malayan Trading Company in KKS Road in Jaffna his health was getting affected. As Mr.Vivekananthan was getting guided by their maternal uncle Mr.Kanthasamy,on his guidance he finished his SSC and got employed in the Bank Of Ceylon in Colombo.Following his father passing away in 1952 he remained as a bachelor and took the entire responsiibilty of the father.They all remain grateful to him for this great selfless service to the family. As his parents wished he was living next to Ramakrishna Mission, Saratha Thevy Centre and Colombo Yogar Swamy's Centre in Wellawatte.
