Mrs. Cumaraswamy will always be a part of my growing up years. As a maths teacher, her classes, devotion to her profession and us her students was unparalleled. Arunthi and I became good friends and then lost touch as we got separated geographically and went our own ways. I can never forget her punctuality, planning of her lessons, the way she draped her sarees, not a hair out of place. Perhaps in a way I still try to emulate the life lessons she taught us...she will forever be etched in my heart.
