Mrs Cumaraswamy, lovingly and respectfully referred to as Cummi, has been one of my favourite teachers during my schooling at HFC Bambalapitiya. Strict but fair is how I remember her and she earned our respect with her style and delivery of her subject. I will always be greatful for the guidance I received, during those formative years. I was fortunate to visit her in Boston, living with her daughter Arunthathy, just before her passing.
