We studied together from grade 1 at Jaffna Central College know him for the last 53 years. There were good and bad times in this 53 year relationship. We saw movies together, went to Muniyappar Temple, Paasiayoor Anthoniyaar Church, Keerimalai, Karainagar Casorina Beach on those good old days. His brother Kiruba is also a good friend of mine. He is the third one in his family of six kids. He is an honest, responsible and cheerful person. He is a straight talker, never be afraid to speak his mind. You could trust him on anything. In some ways we had similar family experience. He had a pretty challenging life. But he never gave up and always did his best for everyone around him. I froze when I saw Janahes' facebook post. I didn't know that he was in coma. Loosing such a friend whom I know for the last 53 years is not an easy thing. It is almost like loosing a family member.
