Dr. Annapooranam (Annam) was the loving niece of my father M.S. Sangarapillai. Annam's mother Ledchumi was my father's younger sister and they both were very loving. My father looked after the family after their father's early death. Annam was a clever student and also excelled in sports. My father was very proud of her. I admired her after she started working at the Jaffna Hospital. She was always so beautifully dressed and had a smart look, which she maintained till the end.
