Tribute

Loving niece Vanessa and grand nieces Praveena, Madura and Diveena 17 AUG 2022 United Kingdom

Asai amma was cheerful and loving, and we shared quality times with her whenever she came to Ceylon. My mother and Asai amma were not just sisters, but good friends, and I could clearly remember both of them going out for meals in Jaffna and the UK, especially to Malayan Cafe , Brent cross and the Lihiniya restaurant. They were both great conversationalists and could go on for hours discussing a variety of topics. I witnessed that the bond between them was always so powerful. Asai amma always provided support not only to my mother but her siblings and her parents when they needed it. Asai amma loved to travel and host family get togethers. She managed to impart her values and standards to me in a precise way, helping me grow into the person I am today. When I got older I remember I wanted to buy a car when I got my first job, but Asai amma advised me that I should climb onto the property ladder first. which I did and I am glad I followed her advice. Asai amma was a true role model for me, and her family and my grandmother always told me you should be independent like Saradha. Her legacy will live on and her beautiful children Sundari, Kalyani and Ilavarasan and her grandchildren continue to grow and exhibit the same poise, generosity and great style she had shown. I am certain they will carry on their own journey in life with Asai amma’s blessings. Asai amma we will miss you. We pray to almighty Lord Siva for you to attain Moksha. Om Namasivaya Sivayanama Om
