From the first time I met Aunty Sharada I knew she was different. She was a bright spark with a quick wit, and a great knack for engaging intellectual discussion. But there was something more than that. She allowed herself to get to know you as you are, and not how she would want you to be. She seemed to use that same approach in how she engaged with life. She followed her heart, and used her knowledge and experience to illuminate her path. Her acceptance of how things are, her understanding of the needs of people around her, and her courage and willingness to be different, enabled her to embrace so many situations, opportunities and challenges with grit, gumption, poise, love and compassion. A woman of true substance, Aunty Sharada was and continues to be an inspiration to all generations. It was a privilege for me to have known her. With blessings to Prince, Kalyani and Sundari.
