Vijitha, a daughter of Tamil Eelam was a person very determined to do her very best for her family. It is great sadness that her illness was in an advanced stage by the time she got to Canada. She fought her illness so bravely in Malaysia just so her family will be Canada. A jewel of a mother, always putting her family's welfare first. Working all the time to make ends meet in Malaysia where life as a refugee is difficult to put it mildly. She wanted to give her 2 sons a secure and bright future in Canada and not the uncertain life as refugees in Malaysia. Hope her children will remember the immense sacrifices of their mum always, be very proud of their mum and do their mum proud in the future. Aum shanthi.
