I first met Saha when he married my good friend Mala, at their wedding 48 years ago. He came across as a man with a quiet strength always supportive of his wife. He had a calmness about him and nothing seemed to ruffle him. He was very proud of Mala and her achievements, doted on his daughter Dharshi and respected his son, Hari. Saha's and Mala's marriage was solid, each supporting the other. The grandchildren brought him immense pleasure and he enjoyed time with them as much as he possibly could. His ill health did not deter him from seizing every opportunity to go around and enjoy time with family and friends. Mala made an enormous effort to ensure Saha didn't miss out on outings. His last illness was short and he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He is now at peace and all those who knew him will miss him terribly, the void is hard to fill. We are left with precious and beautiful memories which will stay with us. He will not be forgotten. May he Rest in Peace!
