With deep sense of sadness I came to know the news that Sugunan is no longer with us. A remarkable person who gave up his comfortable life in Toronto to return to his birth place in Kayts. I have known him over the last 50 years since our school days at St Anthony's College and enjoyed his friendship. Whenever I was in Toronto I never failed to meet him and continued the same in Kayts recently. He became religious and very philosophical in his later life. He wanted to lead a very simplistic life I am going to miss him and I share my deepest sympathies with his wife Chandrika , daughter Vaanamathy and his extended family members .
