We had first met Selvi äunty in the summer of 1998. She had come down to get an admission for tirumala in to a college in chennai . We hit it off well and her yearly visits were much looked up to. In fact it was in one of those visits when Naveen and Sharmi met each other and our friendship between families transcended to that of a lionship. Shewas quite a fiesty personality who spoke her mind , and was one thing that remained with her till the end, you could always be assured she would speak the truth and not play to the galleries . You could disagree with her but never dislike her as she was true to herself in what she did or said . She loved to travel with her friends and never let the age or health deter her and would be looking forward to the next . Though the interactions with her over the past few years have been few We have always admired her tenacity , love for her family and most importantly the sacrifices she had made .
