Dear Thevakumar, We both came to UK in September 1975, started our Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering on the same date, at Middlesex Polytechnic (now Middlesex University), that is where we met, somehow we became close friends , after staying in a hostel in Manor House (North London) for few weeks, in order to be economical we rented out a room in a Pakistani House (Khan) and became room mates. After four years of studies (sandwich course), with part time working and full time working during holidays, finally we have had our convocation on the same day. Eventually I went to Nigeria, you went to Libya, that is how we lost contact. I regret now. Today I got a shock when I saw your picture on Lankasri. Immediately I phoned to your wife got the rest of your story. When we left behind our parents, siblings, friends , all loved ones behind and started a new life in a native country we supported each other loved each other like two brothers. We have gone through so much of ups and downs, but we managed it successfully. We both are grand fathers now. I thank God for getting us connected initially. I missed you so much, but continue to miss you, Sad !. I sincerely pray for your Athma Shanthi. Until we meet again in Heaven.......... Your Loving Friend / Brother - N T Pillai.
May our Lord bless and comfort you and your family during this time of grief. Please accept our sincere condolences.
