With hearts full of love and humble thanksgiving to Almighty God for a life beautifully and faithfully lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Theresammah Mariampillai (Rasathi), who was blessed with a remarkable century of grace.

Born in Jaffna, she journeyed through 100 blessed years, sharing her life between her beloved birthplace and Dehiwala, and was called to her Eternal Reward on 15 March 2026, fortified by prayer and grace.

She was the dearly beloved wife of the late Mr. K. S. Mariampillai and a devoted and loving mother to Yogaraja Mariyampillai (USA), Mr. R. Jeyandraraja (Canada), Mr. Valentine Mariampillai (Canada), Mrs. Jacintha Xavier (Sri Lanka), Mrs. Vanitha Prince (Canada), and Mrs. Jasotha Mariampillai (UK).

She was a cherished mother-in-law to Jeyaranee, Mrs. Shanthi Jeyandraraja, Mrs. Baby Mariampillai, Mr. N. F. Xavier, Mr. C. J. Prince, and Mr. Charles Mariampillai.

Her legacy lives on through her loving grandchildren — Mary, Noel, Matthew, Christina, Virginia, Lintha, Lumantha, Anitha, Niroshan, Dushianthan, Genive, and Jeffrey — who were the joy of her later years, and her eight beloved great-grandchildren.

Entrusting her soul to the infinite mercy of God, we thank the Lord Jesus Christ for the gift of her hundred years of faith, kindness, and boundless love. May the angels lead her into Paradise, and may she rest in the eternal peace of Christ.

Funeral details: The remains will lie for viewing at Mahinda Florist on Tuesday, 17 March 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by burial at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Lavinia Cemetery.
