We fondly called him Yogar Anna. When I was young, he served as the Secretary of GPS. I remember seeing him organize and celebrate the Nayanmar Guru Poojas and many other Hindu festivals at the GPS building with dedication and devotion. Those events were not just celebrations — they were moments of learning and cultural pride for all of us. He once encouraged me to speak during one of the Hindu celebrations. That simple act of trust helped me grow, speak with confidence, and become more mature. I will always be grateful for that guidance. In 2019, when my mother passed away, he sent our family a heartfelt message of comfort. That kindness during our time of grief meant more than words can express. Today, it feels as though we have lost a pillar from the previous generation — someone who carried tradition, responsibility, and quiet strength. May he rest in eternal peace. His family should be deeply proud of the life he lived and the many lives he touched. Slvakumar (Tharmarajah Pathmakumar)
