Happy memories of good people remain, but there aren’t many to be happy about, and Ravi clearly belongs to the former. During his early days, Ravi was our good neighbor back home, and I still remember his father, late Mr. Sivasubramaniam, proudly recalling his experiences during his school days at the prestigious Victoria Institution, Kuala Lumpur. The next chapter of Ravi’s life was when he came to UK; but life for immigrants then was not so rosy as today; in particular there weren’t many of our countrymen for help. Yet, with his enterprising spirit Ravi managed to get over many of the hurdles and came out with his characteristic smile, and it is this “unstoppable smile” of his that is going last more in our memories.
