Mr. S. Sittampalam, affectionately known as Siththa Master, was a very well accomplished man with a kind heart; an active sportsman at Jaffna Hindu, completed his attorney studies while being a teacher; then to Nigeria, and later settled in Toronto; a family man with two children and consumed, with a pleasant manner, on the plight of our community induced by the majoritarian community after the independence of Ceylon..... My close participation with Siththa master was in the late 1980s at the board of the Tamil Eelam Society of Canada, the premier Tamil entity then assisting to the needs of the displaced arriving from Sri Lanka, where he agreed to serve in the administration. Soon , he became as the coordinator of the Tamil Cooperative Homes in Toronto and served it until his retirement. But continued to serve with the community organizations for years to come...... Siththa master's studied mannerism was an asset. He served well to the community. A life well lived and indeed it is a celebration of his life for many........ May Siththa master rest in absolute eternal peace forever.
