As early percussionists, Shiyamala teacher has provided us with the opportunity to accompany her students for various programs. She treated us as if we were professionals despite the few years of experience we once had. A few days before, she had requested for us to play for her students. Our grievance is shared with Arushan and Abishan, who were also learning to play the miruthangam. We will never forget her support that she has given towards our future as musicians. May her soul rest in peace.
