Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. We are grateful to Lord Almighty for making it possible to make Rasa Annan a trip to South Africa in 2012 so that we had the privilege to spend time with this great human being. His easy going nature, and wittiness made our trip very enjoyable. Towards the end of his holidays when he was asked which part of the holidays he liked most, his humble answer was "meeting my relatives in this part of the world", which made us realize the value he placed on relationships. We will always cherish the memories of the time we spent with Rasa Annan, Saradha Akka, Thambichan, Shyamala and the boys. The family stories we shared (since our families are entwined) cannot be forgotten. The book on his memoirs, "Batticaloa that I remember" will be treasured by all in our generation and the generations to come. Our thoughts are with Saradha Akka , sons, daughtesr-in-law and grand children. May his soul rest in peace.
