Vic was a long-term staff member who was part of SMEC for more than two decades. During this time, he became much more than an exceptional engineer; he has turned trusted colleague and respected friend to many across our global network. His quiet nature was complemented by a sharp wit and a sense of humour that always brought balance and perspective when it was needed most. His professional legacy is remarkable. Vic led the ACT bridges and structures team for more than a decade and his work spanned projects across ANZ, the Pacific Islands and other regions. His impact ranged from community-scale projects to some of the largest and complex initiatives SMEC has delivered. He has driven by a deep commitment to practical, meaningful solutions, a passion that led to the InQuik Design collaboration, an innovation that earned multiple awards, including the 2021 Engineering Australia Award for Innovation.
