Dear Appamma we will miss you with all of our hearts. There was noone more generous, quick-witted or caring. We will miss your signature croaky voice on the phone, your many sassy wisecracks and your observations (criticisms) about life. We will miss getting the bus from Purley to Tooting to see you as soon as we landed, taking you out for a stroll (of course only after you put up a sufficient fuss)and hearing your commentary about how the neighborhood has changed. We will miss spending hours talking about anything and everything over tea and shortbread (your favourite) at the flat. Thank you for raising our very strong willed Appa, who is a character just like you. You live on through him, and us, forevermore. You will always be in our hearts.
