I am deeply saddened to hear about passing of my beloved dance teacher, who was so much more than a guru to me. She not only thought me the art of kuchipudi but also cared for me like her own with kindness and unmatched dedication. She was a true perfectionist, a women of grace and strength, who instilled in me the beauty of tradition and the value of commitment. Her nurturing nature whether it was ensuring I had something to eat or encouraging me to be my best has left a lasting impression on my heart. No one else could ever take her place as my guru. May her soul rest in peace. I will carry her memory with deep respect, gratitude and love.
