We are saddened to hear the passing of Mrs. Rajeswary Maniccavasagar. As a Vada Hindu Girls’ College Past Pupils’ Society Limited – Colombo Branch member, she worked tirelessly with other members to improve the welfare of schoolchildren and raise the school’s standard. She was a Patron of the Association until her death. She was kind-hearted and humourous. You could never feel bored in her company as she possessed a rare quality, good humour. Nobody can fill the vacuum left by a mother. Words cannot console you at this time of grief. Our deepest sympathies go to her two daughters, Rukmani and Selvarani, and their husbands and grandchildren. May her soul rest in peace.
