We just can't come to terms with the sad and shocking news that Rasu Acca is no more with us. She had been a real tower of strength to all of us, and every time we were in Colombo, she would force us to stay with her. Whether it was at Dehiwela or Wellawatte, she used to welcome us with open arms, and go all out of the way to make our stay there so cosy and enjoyable. Her warmth, kindness and hospitality knew no bounds. Uncle Manic’s and she were of immense help to us when Yogan got married. They were the two, who planned everything prior to and after the wedding, and we just can’t ever forget what they did for us. It is indeed a pity none of us could be in Colombo to pay our last respects to her. Mani feels quite depressed that she couldn’t be there in Colombo to share the pain and sorrow with you all, and take part in the funeral rites.
