Even though I was dreading the end was nearing my soul refused to accept the passing away of this fine soul. The tall, light-skinned, energetic, hospitable, great- leader with an indomitable spirit stays in my cerebral cortex. I first me her during the 1983 riots and I had the chance to taste her magnanimity, and hospitality at firsthand. They had a successful business and a colourful life and the difference made in others people’s lives is ineffable; helped their kith and kin, underprivileged, Tamil cause, the betterment of the village and the temples. I vividly remember her husband coming to console us in no time when we lost our father, we always regurgitate those moments with gratitude and affection. She was the talent and strength behind her husband’s success and when he was not himself at the final furlong of life she was the pillar who nursed him, motivated him and been an excellent consort who ran the family with intelligence and panache. Her Husband Sivaligam Anna is a cousin of mine who was able to the match larger than life popularity of his grandfather who was well-known village headman-because she is the one who brought luck and talent into his life which complimented them to become successful in business. She and her husband didn’t merely give birth but chiselled five beautiful daughters and turned them into people with telling business acumen and with love for life.
