Dear Dharshi, Pami, Subo and other members of the family, I was very saddened to hear the loss of your mother Mrs Kathiresan. I came to know her first in 1980 as a parent at West London Tamil School. I noticed that all the children enjoyed her teaching. She being a teacher herself in the local primary school understood the psychology of each and every child and encouraged all the children in a friendly and motherly way in their studies. Later in 1982 I joined the West London Tamil School and subsequently in 1990 moved to London Tamil Centre as a Headmaster. In both schools, I noticed her sincerity and dedication in her teaching and the way she handled some of the difficult students. I came to know her even closely when she joined our London Tamil Centre Elders Club in the year 2000. She was an active volunteer in running the elders club and also was sharing with other members various information - which she acquired from the daily papers. I am sure the trustees, teachers, admin staff of the London Tamil Centre will miss her and remember the happy memories with her. Headmaster London Tamil Centre (1990- 2012)
