We still can’t believe you’re gone. It’s going to take a while for this to truly sink in and for us to process this loss. I may have known you for only 10 years, but you were the first person we could truly call a friend, family, and a loving well-wisher since I moved to Calgary from India for both me and John. We are going to miss your smile, your jokes, our political debates, your latest updates on movies and the film industry, and the way you lovingly called me “Amala.” Your presence meant more than words can express. We will miss you so much. Please rest easy up there. We will be here to look after Akka and the boys, so you don’t have to worry. You will always remain in our hearts and memories.
