Thiruna was my childhood friend. From Primary school, we both passed the Scholarship examination and went to Stanley Govt Central School and continued our Secondary education. He was an extremely dedicated friend and in many ways, I am obliged to him. I met him last in London when he came for his younger sister's funeral. I express my heartfelt condolences. I have personally spoken to Shanmugapoosany, his wife and conveyed my sympathies.
