Dear Bala Machaan, You and I go long way , in fact we were born and brought up in Neeraviady , meticulously educated at the great institution Jaffna Hindu College ,stone throwaway from our respective homes . where in fact you made history in cricket . You introduced me to Hindustani music way back in the fifties and every time you visited me here in London you presented me with CD’s of Mukesh , Mohamed Rafi , Manna Dey and Latha . You were a wonderful cook too , infact eveytime you visited us in Hendon you brought delicious homemade delights despite your tight schedules. Only six weeks ago you called me and we reminisced about our mutual friends Appuchi, Paramjothy and Ashraff and your frequent visits to Wellington and Manohara cinema theatres .Dear Bala I will be missing but this is not your journey’s end on the contrary it is the beginning of a beautiful journey back to Paramatman . Om shantih, shantih, shantih.
