Mrs. Mercy Leelawathy Kanagaratnam was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka and lived in Kandy Sri Lanka, Church Road Chankanai Sri Lanka and London United Kingdom. She sadly passed away in London on the 20th December 2021.  

One year has passed since you left us
It somehow feels like yesterday
The pain of losing you still remains
But we see you in each morning ray 

A witty, strong, independent lady
We will never forget
Brought a smile and laugh to those around her
 And anyone she ever met

Your 90+ years of memories
The singing, the dancing, the jokes and the wisdom
The matriarch of the family, our queen

We feel your presence watching over us
With you, one more moment we crave
But for now, you’re cherished in our heart
Our bond, forevermore engraved
