Mrs. Mercy Leelawathy Kanagaratnam was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka and lived in Kandy Sri Lanka, Church Road Chankanai Sri Lanka and London United Kingdom. She sadly passed away in London on the 20th December 2021.

Beloved wife of late Mr Shanmugam Kanagaratnam (Retired Postmaster, Chankanai).

Loving Mother of Shirani Vinolini (London), Varalakshmy (Toronto), Vararajan (London) and Priyatharshan Ravindrakumar (London).

Mother-in-law of Thevarajah, Vasanthakumar, Vijitha and Uthayashanthi.

Loving sister of Late Margaret, Late Mildred, Late George, Mabel and Late Reginald.

Sister-in-law of Late Mr T.S.Thambiah & Mr T.S.Thuraisingam (USA).

Cherished grandmother of Denesh, Shakeela, Ajanth, Mithila and grandmother-in-law of Akash. 

Adoring great-grandmother of Lara Simran.
