I was shocked to hear of hid sudden departure. I had since early 1980s lost touch with many of my former colleagues and students. Theivendran got in touch with me after my visit to Australia in 2015. he kept me informed of his worthy deeds of charity, and promptly responded kindly to ever comment I made about some of the acts. He was as humble as he was generous and caring. I am sure that his loss will be strongly felt by many people whose lives he has touched even without knowing them. His was a great most blessed life.
