V.T. Nadarajah sir was my school Teacher and our Scout Master when I was studying in Vantharumoolai Central College - a boarding school-(that school is no more and that building was taken over & converted into the Eastern University). After finishing my o/levels in that school, I went to Jaffna Central College (again in the school boarding) in the years of 1968/69 era. During those years, one day V.T.Nadarajah sir saw me in the Jaffna bus stand. He was very happy to see his old student and invited me to come to his house in Chavakachcheri on the following Sunday, for having a lunch with his family. His wife Mrs. Mangaleswary was a very hospitable person and a great cook (her mutton curry was one of the best I ever tasted). For a teenage boy I was, who was used to the insipid food in the hostel, that food was a big feast . Even after leaving Ceylon, whenever I went to Jaffna I always paid a visit to Chavakachcheri to see them. Even after I heard about V.T.Nadarajah sir's passing away, I kept a look out for his family's news, like Raviraj's entering politics, etc. Thank you Amma, for the Love you showered on me.
