Late Mr.Mahalingam Ganesapillai, My late cousin brother, Mahalingam Ganesapillai, was a magnificient and marvellous person. My mother was really fond of him. She loved him a lot. And I knew that for a fact ! When he had a heart attack a few years ago, she was very upset. She harassed me to take her to Chennai to meet one of her favourite nephews. Which I happily did. She was really worried for him. But even Mahalingam was very attached to my mum. They were like long time buddies. Their affection towards each other held no bounds. My mum was also attached to the other members of his family. In fact, she always teased her nephews’s beloved wife but I could see their bond. The last time my mother, my sisters Mani and Puspa, and my wife Sharmini met Mahalingam was on 18 August 2018 in his home in Chennai. We took a family picture together. He always brought pleasant memories not only to my mum but to all of us. We are terribly sorry for such a huge loss to his immediate family. Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences.
