Saddened to hear the news about our good old friend Dhayalan. We know each other from 1976 whilst studying at the Polytechnic of Wales in Pontypridd. I always remember him as a quiet, hard working, kind and caring man. Through him and Kanageswaran i met many Sri Lankan Tamil friends with whom we are still in touch till today. I then came from Malaysia as a student n our only common denominator was that we were both Tamil speaking n students trying to succeed in life with the opportunities given. Life was never easy juggling between studies n work to pay our way thru college. Dhayalan exemplified that determination to achieve his dream of being independent n successful in life. Later we got to meet his dear wife Jothi n we all hit off well together. We kept in touch all these years and we met several times in London n we stayed a few days with them in London at his insistence...that's Dhayalan & Jothi. Dhayalan n his lovely wife Jothi visited n stayed with us in Melbourne in 2019 n my wife Jaya and I have fond memories of our times together. Dhayalans hard work n dedication saw him well and successful in life hand in hand with his dedicated wife Jothi. We will all miss you Dhayalan especially when Jaya and I are next in London but we will never forget you brother! God Bless.
